03 September - Labour - Health and Safety Representative course
On Sakhisizwe today we spoke to Tinus Boshoff – Director of Labourguide. On the 08th of September Tinus will facilitate a course for the Health and Safety representatives and the responsibilities of Management. This course will empower learners to be able to perform safety, health and environmental representation activities and to know health and safety legislation relevant to the functions, duties and responsibilities of a Health and Safety Representative at a working place. The Occupational Health and Safety Act was introduced to provide for the health and safety of persons at work and for the health and safety of persons in connection with the use of plant and machinery. Tinus will explain about the importance of legal compliance and fundamental elements of effective safety management. The workshop will be at the Southern Sun: Century City in Canal Walk. It costs R890 per delegate. The price includes course material, certificates, legislation and catering/ refreshments and Safe and secure parking.
