submission to the South Africa Law Reform Commission on sexual offences!!!
We closed off with an interview Sakhisizwe co-producer Chelsea Moore had with Eric Harper – from the Sex Worker Education and Advocacy Task Force or Sweat. Sweat is a non profit organization that works with sex workers around issues concerning health and human rights. In addition, sweat lobbies and advocates for the decriminalization of adult sex work in South Africa. In April this year the organization won an interdict in the high court in Cape Town, which prohibits the arrest of sex workers for an ulterior purpose. Recently Eric helped to author a submission to the South Africa Law Reform Commission on sexual offences: adult prostitution. For more information on SWEAT go to www.sweat.org.za or contact their offices on (021) 448 7875.
