Some good news for women’s football!!!
We also heard from Fran Hilton-Smith - Banyana Banyana team manager. There’s some good news for women’s football. South Africa has been chosen as the venue for the 2010 Women’s African Cup of Nations. South Africa’s national women’s football team known as Banyana Banyana also recently won a friendly match against Namibia last week. Clearly women’s sport has come a long way from the big gender inequalities that existed some years ago. To know more about the Banyana Banyana team you can visit the South African Football Association website at www.safa.net
