He has been involved with various non-governmental organisations and was a founder member of New Ground Magazine where he serves as a photographer and picture editor. Over the years Paul has also curated many exhibitions. We spoke about Changing Perspectives that will be on exhibition until the 24th of October at CAPE, number 10 Spin Street, Cape Town. If you want more information about the exhibition, you can call (021) 480 7151.

We also heard from Jay, Messenger, Lucifer, Pharmacist and more – from the Black Ink Art Movement. They are a group of theatre performers, from the community for the community; based in Du Noon community this vibrant and talented group fuses acting, singing and dancing (mainly hip-hop) while they integrate visual art with poetry and musical performances. They told us more on what they are all about. If you want more information on the Black Ink Art Movement, go to http://www.myspace.com/ or Jay on 078 60 86695.

Sakhisizwe’s producer Cindy Witten joined us for the Arts update, to share with the listeners what’s hot and what’s not in the Art sector. Nigel will be away for a couple of weeks, so Cindy will be our arts fundi, if you want her to review any of your play, performances or exhibition then send an email to nation@bushradio.co.za

We closed off the show with an interview with Charline Mckie – Manager of Wolfgat Nature Reserve. Representatives from various communities around the greater Cape Town area will hike through nature reserves and pick up litter. We spoke about the “Youth Against Waste” initiative. If you would like to help out with the clean up you can get the hikers at Swartklip Parking Area on Baden Powell Drive, at 9:30am tomorrow or at the end at Mnandi Beach Resort where a City Councillor will address the hikers.
