The community of Kensington/Factreton is a community that is affected by domestic violence which forms an integral part of gender abuse. They believe that the silence around abuse must be broken because children, women and men are being abused on a daily basis. We spoke about gender violence and the Human Chain against Gender Abuse. FAMSA has invited all churches, schools and political leaders in Kensington and Factreton to participate in the Human Chain against Gender Abuse, which also forms part of the 16 Days of Activism. The Human Chain will take place on the 9th of October between 12h30 and 14h00. It is anticipated that at least 1500 learners and community members will attend the Human Chain.
