Today we spoke to Senza Kula – Director of Ilitha lomso Environmental Youth Organisation. Ilitha Lomso is a community based organisation that works on environmental issues in poorer communities. The organisation also runs two programmes which are: Ithontsi Water Project which concentrates on water demand in the communities and the Intelezi Nature Conservation Project which is run to teach the people how to manage their natural resources. We also spoke to Carlton Fillis – A Senior Forecaster at Weather SA. In celebration of Antarctica Month, Carlton presented a talk on Antarctica and Islands: A journey of discovery. He told us more about the weather and climate there and its importance for South Africa's weather. Tomorrow make sure you don’t miss a rare opportunity to explore the SA Agulhas that takes researchers and scientists to icy Antarctica. In East Pier at the V&A Waterfront from 10:00 AM till 15:00 PM.
