22 January – Health

Today we spoke to Veronica Williams from the Vuyani Frail Care Organisation. We were talking about the Aids Awareness Drive that her organisation has embarked on. The Vuyani frail care organisation gives assistance to elderly and sick people daily and they also provide food and help to those who are too weak to take care of themselves. She operates from her house and she pays all the expenses with her own money. For more information about the organisation or if you want to make donations you can contact Veronica at 021 858 1617.

And we also spoke to Robert van der Feyst – Executive Director of Narconon Drug Education. Robert is running Drug Education and they are looking for 20 young people who are socially conscious – to train in drug prevention. If you are interested in being a peer educator then this might be a good opportunity for you. For more information you can contact their offices at 021 510 6160 or you can email info@narconon.org.za or visit their website at www.narconon.org
