In today's show we spoke to Eulie Mabie – from Renovatio Dance Company. Renovatio is a non-profit organisation, which focuses on underprivileged youth and assists them to reach their goals through arts. We were talking about 'Colour Contrast: Where Worlds Collide' theatre production that is produced by Renovatio Dance Company and will be staged at Artscape Theatre on the 2nd and 3rd of September at 8pm. Marcus Mabie and Lu Jacobs from Renovatio direct this 90-minute hip-hop dance production. They believe that the elevation of urban dance culture from the streets to professional theatre venues is more than entertainment but rather a crossover art that has a following worldwide. For this show, the directors have created various characters to tell a story of "the beginning, the legacy, and the immortality". Tickets cost R60. For more information visit www.artscape.co.za for ticket bookings contact Computicket on 083 915 8000 or Dial-A-Seat on (021) 421 7695. Special price for block bookings applies.
