We had an interview with Thabang Magaola and Andre Vermuelen from CodeX, a program to learn code and get placed as a software developer. They teach practical skills in the tech industry and they help you find a job at a top local company that suits your interests and ambitions.

They have two groups, one group focusing on JavaScript and a second group focusing on Java which build skills on what they've learn in the foundation which is been a big development since the creation.

One of the challenges CodeX face is to get women into coding in the Tech world and now have about 30% women in the program and then that's a good start and next year they’ll have less because some of those women that was with them in the past they now they working or dropped out of the programme.

They also focusing on the importance of communication in coding and to be be a good software developer.

One of their students  told us his experiences at Codex " I benefit a lot of things
I was coming from varsity so I've learnt a lot of soft skills,  communication skills I'm working in a team of being a professional because it’s  more like we do idea development where you get like a small piece of experience from the work environment and besides these skills that help me. So if you have the skills it always easy because it's easy for you and to get confident and even when you are stuck it easy to just go to someone and ask for help".
