Labour - Numsa marches against youth unemployment

In today's show, we spoke to Vuyo Lufele – National Union of Metalworkers Regional Secretary. Yesterday the union embarked on a national strike to highlight the issue of youth unemployment. According to the union, after Greece and Spain, South Africa has the third highest unemployment rate in the world for people between the ages of 15 to 24. It further states that about 71% of all unemployed people in South Africa are between the ages 15-29. Most of them are women; the majority of which have never had a job in their lives. On the awake of the World Premature Day, the Tygerberg Hospital Children's Trust will have the World Preemie Day Fun Walk talking place On the sixteenth November at 07:00am for 08:00am. This is the second year the occasion will be held, after Tygerberg Hospital effectively facilitated their debut World Preemie Day 5km Fun Walk on the emergency clinic grounds a year ago. This year the Tygerberg Hospital Children's Trust is developing accomplishment to offer walkers an entire day of fun.
