Tears Foundation introduces USSD mobile technology

Tears Foundation is a nationally accessible support network for victims of rape and sexual abuse, targeted to address the crisis of rape and sexual abuse in South Africa and provide an information platform for society. TEARS is designed to empower victims by giving access to support easily, available to each and every member of society, helping victims to be treated with dignity regardless of gender, race or economic status. TEARS has introduced a USSD mobile technology and it received two thousand hits in the first month of its trial Helpline – *120*7355#.
