On the show today, we spoke to Cebo Kutuka - Assistant Director of Inspection and Enforcement Services
for the Western Cape Department of Labour to tell us more about their upcoming
Wholesale and Retail Blitz. The Western Cape Department of Labour will be
embarking on its Wholesale and Retail Blitz whereby labour inspectors are
assigned to intensify mass inspections within the sector from August 12th
-16th, 2013. Therefore the Department would like to inform all
stakeholders, partners and any persons affected by the sector such as
Shoprite/Checkers, PnP, general retailers, retailers in malls and more to
expect inspectors knocking on their doors. They will mainly focus on malls,
since these are hubs for people working within this sector. For further
information go to www.labour.gov.za
