Gender - LWA launches Women in Infrastructure Development in Africa

In today's show, we spoke to Madelein Mkunu - Founder and president of Leading Women of Africa. We were talking about the recent launch of the Women in Infrastructure Development in Africa or WIDA. WIDA aims to collectively bring African women in business and various stakeholders together by providing a ‘central connection resource’ to enable these interactions, which in turn allows policy and decision makers to reach deliberate measures that will facilitate correcting and balancing the inequitable distribution of wealth and opportunities of the past. It envisions ensuring that women emerge as leaders in this growing field that previously ostracized women.
