African Dance Theatre presents the Vagina Monologues for the V-Day Campaign 2013

Khanya & Gugulethu
We were also joined by Khanya Sosibo - Actress and Gugulethu Mayisela - Director of the Vagina Monologues to tell us more about the V-Day Campaign 2013 in Cape Town. The Vagina monologues is an award-winning play by author, playwright and founder of the V-Day movement, Eve Ensler which is a celebration of women’s sexuality and strength in a graceful and humorous manner through the liberation of the one word - “Vagina”. It aims to raise funding for activist organizations by making use of art as a tool for inspiring action and change in society against the abuse of women and girls. All proceeds from this year’s campaign will go to the Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust to create awareness about violence against women and girls. It’s happening next week Tuesday and Wednesday March 26-27 at the African Dance Theatre on the corner of Long and Hout Street in Cape Town from 20:00PM. Tickets are available at www.webtickets.co.za and at the venue box office on (021) 424 9513 for R100. For more information about V-Day, visit www.vday.org/home.
