Sonke Gender Justice supports Medical Male Circumcision


We closed off with Leo Mbobi - from Sonke Gender Justice Network. He was speaking to us about the recent dialogue on Medical Male Circumcision that they hosted together with the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation and Klipfontein Department of Health in Nyanga. Sonke strongly supports MMC as a measure for preventing HIV transmission since evidence shows that MMC can reduce the chances of infection by as much as 60%. Leo explained more. On the awake of the World Premature Day, the Tygerberg Hospital Children's Trust will have the World Preemie Day Fun Walk talking place On the sixteenth November at 07:00am for 08:00am. This is the second year the occasion will be held, after Tygerberg Hospital effectively facilitated their debut World Preemie Day 5km Fun Walk on the emergency clinic grounds a year ago.
