This week is World Heart Rhythm Awareness Week

We also heard from Dr Chevaan Hendricks - UCT’s Division of Cardiology and Groote Schuur’s Cardiac Clinic. We were talking about Cardiac Rhythm Disorders. It is said that Heart rhythm Disorders are often misunderstood and under - diagnosed. According to Dr Hendricks screening is the most important way of preventing arrhythmic cardiac events. Screening involves having your ECG taken. Dr Hendricks explained more about the symptoms and the available treatment.
