On Sakhisizwe today, we were joined by Godfrey Madanhire – Motivational Speaker and CEO of Dreamworld Promotions. Dreamworld Promotions focuses on empowering disenfranchised individuals and communities from within. Godfrey came to South Africa as a refugee from Zimbabwe and has managed to turn around his life of uncertainty into success. We were talking about entrepreneurship. It is reported that the total entrepreneurial activity in South Africa has dropped to just 5% behind many comparable countries like India, Brazil and Mexico. Some commentators feel that the unemployment rate in this country has helped push a sort of entrepreneurial energy from within, with students being taught to build their own skill set, and to become entrepreneurs themselves.
