15 June - Human Rights - Khayelitsha Youth Development Council to host youth summit

In today’s show, we heard from Shiba Sopotela – from the Khayelitsha Youth Development Council. The Khayelitsha Youth Development Council will be hosting a youth summit tomorrow under the theme: Take Charge Seize the current opportunities. Youth council/ forums from Khayelitsha, Mitchell’s Plain, Gugulethu and other regions are also invited. The summit is at the Khayelitsha Stadium from 9AM till 5PM. Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children. Their work aligns with the goals of Child Protection Week, focusing on advocacy, education, and empowerment to create a safer and more inclusive environment for children.
