Urban Voices International Arts Festival 2009!!!

We were also joined Instudio by Mbali Vilakazi – a poet to talk about the Urban Voices International Arts Festival 2009. This year’s festival will feature dance, song and performance poetry eclectically influenced from Ghana, USA, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and South Africa. Talented young and emerging South African poets from the three cities will show their mettle on stage and proudly display the diversity that has become synonymous with our country’s image. The festival will be on Sunday 26th of July at the Baxter Theatre at 8pm. Tickets costs R150. Bookings can be made at Computicket or at the Door. Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children. It typically includes a series of events, campaigns, and activities aimed at promoting child safety, preventing abuse, and advocating for policies and practices that support children's healthy development.  Molo Songololo is a registered non-profit organization that promotes the rights and protection of children and youth, and especially girls. Their work aligns with the goals of Child Protection Week, focusing on advocacy, education, and empowerment to create a safer and more inclusive environment for children.
