In today’s show we had an interview with Mr Ramsook Loykisoonlal from the department of Health. We spoke about the chemical safety campaign. Exposure to hazardous, toxic and poisonous chemicals poses a great risk to health. The dangers posed by hazardous chemicals differ with mode of exposure. We dealt with the dangers associated with chemicals and the aims of having such a campaign. We also spoke to Dr. C.L Willies - An Ophthalmologist. This week is the Eye Care Awareness Week and SA eye specialists will be doing free cataract operations as part of an annual nationwide programme to restore the sight of people suffering from cataracts.
