They have a new album out titled Macheri – featuring the pot belly track which is currently receiving massive airplay by radio stations throughout the country and they will be touring the country in November. We also spoke Abe Taylor - from Konek. Konek received financial support from Vukani Gaming to fund their projects. The funding enables them to implement projects in over 24 schools in the greater Grassy Park area. Konek’s projects consist of sports, academic, arts and cultural development projects for primary and high school children. Abe told us more about the projects.They currently have a Cycling development program and learners will participate in Argus Cycle Tour and they are also busy with the Academic excellence program in 6 high schools, for 30+ grade 10 learners to be fast tracked in math, science, business and computer studies. This festival is on the weekend of the 2 -4 November.
