In today’s show, we were joined by Given Nkosi – a member of the UCT Opera School. UCT Opera School and Cape Town Opera, in collaboration with Artscape, the National Lotteries Distribution Trust Fund and the Mellon Fund, present LA RONDINE, an opera performance about a beautiful young girl who has to choose between true love for a handsome young man and the financial advantages of belonging to a rich elderly banker. La Rondine is directed by Angelo Gobbato and Conducted by Olivier Cuendet and will be at the Baxter Theatre from the 18th till the 25th of August. Tickets costs R140 and R120. And we also had an interview with Martin Phike. We know him from Ghetto Lingo. He has launched a self-titled debut solo album under newly formed Faith Records and Martin will be performing with Ghetto Lingo here in Cape Town on the 1st of September at Manzomthombo Senior Secondary School eMfuleni. The ten track album will be available in stores at the end of August.

The South African Script Writers' Union will be giving a Radio Drama Serial Course from the 8th of September till the 5th of November 2007. The City of Cape Town’s Youth Environmental School programme will host an Energy and Climate Change Awareness Weeks from 13 – 24 August 2007.
