Today we spoke to Siphokazi Xhameni - from Siyaphambili Orphan Village. Siyaphambili Orphan Village is a registered non-profit organisation working with orphaned and vulnerable children and their caregivers. The organisation is situated in Langa Township. We also spoke to Tony Wilcox - Project Coordinator at Balco or Build Adult Learning Co-operative. BALCO is a non-profit, non-government organisation involved in the struggle against illiteracy and unemployment. And our last interview was with Meriel Bartlett - Marketing Director of the National Sea Rescue Institute. The National Sea Rescue Institute is a countrywide non-profit organisation dedicated to helping people in distress whether at sea or on inland water. These brave men and women, who all work on a voluntary basis, have saved over 1500 lives since the NSRI came into being in 1967 and over thirteen thousand people have been assisted in operations carried out by them. The NSRI runs on corporate sponsorships as well as through a number of fund raising activities.
