Today we spoke to Mukelani Dimba – Training Consultant from the Open Democracy Advice Centre. Their mission is to promote open and transparent democracy and also to foster a culture of corporate and government accountability. And we were also joined by Mireille Affa’ a Mindzie – Senior Project Officer from the Centre for Conflict Resolution. The centre aims to contribute towards a just and sustainable peace in Africa by promoting constructive, creative and co-operative approaches to the resolution of conflict through training, policy development, research, and capacity-building. They recently hosted a seminar on the rights of children affected by armed conflicts in Africa. The subject was “Strengthening the African Union Framework for the Protection of Children Affected by Armed Conflict”. Our last interview was with Mildred van der Scholtz, Sam hristov and Ibrahim Ajam from the South African Law School. Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children. It typically includes a series of events, campaigns, and activities aimed at promoting child safety, preventing abuse, and advocating for policies and practices that support children's healthy development.  Molo Songololo is a registered non-profit organization that promotes the rights and protection of children and youth, and especially girls. Their work aligns with the goals of Child Protection Week, focusing on advocacy, education, and empowerment to create a safer and more inclusive environment for children.
