Hope House Counselling Centre: A Home for Accessible Care

                                                         Mental health services is not always readily available for different communities within South Africa. The idea of receiving help for services is often viewed as not as important as other more physical issues, but this mindset can be changed. It is difficult without governmental support to provide financial funds. Judy Strickland, the founder of Hope House Counselling Centre advocates that if the government supports more accessible counselling services then a shift can happen. Hope House, founded in 2004, offers care services to anyone who is hurting in the community because they want to remove the stigma around mental health help.
