We closed off with Chris Maseko - from People Opposing Women Abuse or POWA. POWA is calling
all women to enter the annual POWA Women’s Writing Anthology Project 2013,
under the theme 'Perfectly Imperfect'. The theme aims at encouraging women at accepting who
they are, refusing society’s labels of being “imperfect” and “incompetent” and
acknowledging their imperfections as part of that which makes them prefect.
POWA is calling for poems, short stories and personal essays that tell of
women’s experiences of being 'perfectly imperfect' The Women’s Writing Project
seeks to reach out to as many potential writers as possible with the aim of
helping aspiring women writers by providing means designed to support female
writers in their endeavours. The POWA women’s writing project is only open to
women and girl children of all ages living in South Africa. Entry forms are
available on www.powa.co.za. To enter, submit entry
forms to nomalanga@powa.co.za. For enquiries contact Nonhlanhla Sibanda or Chris Maseko on (011) 642
4345 or send a email to nonhlanhla@powa.co.za
