We closed off with Megan Hitchin - Senior book seller at the Book Lounge. Each year at the Open Book Festival the Book Lounge pledge to install a library in
a school that is currently operating without one. This year they are putting a
library into Westridge
High School in Mitchell's Plain. The
school is reported to have over 1,100
pupils and no library, so the Book Lounge have committed to giving them 5,000 books and for this they depend
on the generosity of public donations. They would be most grateful if you would
consider contributing to the appeal - any amount would be hugely appreciated.
Just choose how much, and they will select books to that amount and send you an
invoice for an EFT. The Book Lounge is giving 10% discount on all books bought
for the library, to make the donated money go further. For further information
you can contact the book lounge on (021) 462 2425 or send an email to booklounge@gmail.com alternatively visit
