In today's show, we
spoke to Ruth Mhlanga - Greenpeace Africa Climate and energy campaigner. From
tomorrow till Friday, the 6th of September, Greenpeace Africa will be hosting a
Solar Training in Cape
Town .
The course is set up to empower women and youth with the necessary
understanding of how renewable energy can benefit their lives. During the
training, participants will learn how solar power and other renewable energy
works, how solar panels themselves work, and how to install the panels.
Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to
change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to
promote peace. For more information go to www.greenpeace.org/Africa
