We were also joined by Jessica
Bacon - A registered dietician at the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Sister
Carol Gray - from Clicks Clinics to tell us more about their Radio Heart
Age challenge. This year's 2013 campaign will see radio DJs and their teams
getting their heart health checked live on
air, as radio stations around the
country take part in the 'Heart Age Challenge'. Bush Radio is one of the radio
stations that have partnered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation this
September in taking the 'Heart Age Challenge'. It involved DJs having their
vital statistics tested on air by a trained nurse for cholesterol, blood
glucose, blood pressure and body mass index. For further information you can
contact the foundation on 0860 1 43278 (0860 1 HEART) or visit www.heartfoundation.co.za
or contact Clicks Clinics on 0860 254 257.
