In today's show, we were joined Instudio by Moegamat Slamdien and Martha Peterson - Both employees at Groote Schuur Hospital for over 40 years and Alaric Jacobs - Principal Communications Officer to tell us more about their experiences and the upcoming hospital tours for the public. This year Groote Schuur Hospital where the world's first heart transplant was performed celebrated its 75th birthday.  The hospital is one of Cape Town’s premier tertiary academic hospitals and it is internationally renowned for training some of South Africa’s best doctors, surgeons and nurses. More than 40 million patients have received treatment from the hospital over its 75 years of existence and therefore as part of its celebrations it will be hosting hospital tours for the public next week Wednesday and Thursday July 10th -11th, 2013.
