We
also heard from Puleng Mkhatshwa - Programme Officer for the Joint Gender Fund.
We were talking about the Joint Gender Fund call for proposals. The fund
was established to improve the strategic impact and effectiveness of donors to
address gender based violence and how it relates to HIV & AIDS and
socio-economic empowerment in South
Africa . The grant
allocations will vary from R100 000 to R1 million depending on the capacity to
effectively manage the grant over a two year
period. Organizations already receiving money from any of the participating
donors, need to show that the request is different to the funds already being
received. Opportunity closing date
is on Friday, June 14th, 2013. For
more information send an email to puleng@hivos.co.za or go to www.jointgenderfund.co.za
