Siska Dewi Noya & Patrick Godana
Patrick Godana - Gender and social justice activist for Sonke Gender Justice Network and Siska Dewi Noya - A delegate from Indonesia. We were talking about the first global meeting of the MenCare Gender Equitable Fatherhood Campaign that’s concluding today. MenCare is a global fatherhood campaign that aims to promote men’s involvement as equitable, non-violent fathers and caregivers in order to achieve family well-being and gender equality. The meeting saw MenCare partner organizations from all over the world converge in  Cape Town during this week as global coordinators of the campaign Sonke Gender Justice and Promundo US hosted colleagues and researchers from Rwanda, Brazil, India, Ukraine, Canada, Netherlands and Sweden, to name but a few. Tonight’s dialogue will involve fathers sharing lessons learnt from father-schools across the region (especially SA experiences) and interacting with Ministers on the panel. The Ministers will be responding to new and expectant Fathers and their partners invited to the session. It’s happening tonight June 12th, 2013 at the President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town from 15:00PM to 17:00PM.
