In today's show, we heard from Axolile Notywala - Junior
researcher for the Social Justice Coalition. We were talking about the outcome
of yesterday’s court judgement regarding the Khayelitsha commission of Inquiry.
The O’Regan Commission of Inquiry emerged victorious after the Western Cape
High Court ruled in its favour on Monday, following Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa’s attempt to launch an
interdict against the Khayelitsha Commission of Inquiry into policing. The
commission was established by Premier Helen Zille in August to investigate
allegations of police inefficiencies in Khayelitsha. For further information
about SJC you can contact Axolile on (021) 361 8160 or 074 289 5220.
