16 April - Health - Tomorrow marks World Haemophilia Day

In today's show, we spoke to Sister Reinett Olivier - From the South African Haemophilia Foundation. We were talking about haemophilia. According to the SAHF “Haemophilia is an inherited lifelong bleeding disorder, affecting mostly males with females being carriers, causing dangerous haemorrhages internally and into the joints and muscles, resulting in severe pain and eventually causing crippled limbs.” Tomorrow is the World Haemophilia Day and the theme is  “Close the Gap”. For further information you can contact SAHF on (021) 785 7140 or visit their website www.haemophilia.org.za
