Making art out of junk & Arts Update

We also heard from Yandiswa Mazwana – Coordinator at Ilitha lomso project. Yandiswa started collecting plastic bottles on the beach. With a group of women, she began making art out of these plastic bottles and they produce popular sculptures and homeware products. Most of the products are made from non-recyclable plastics. Their work aligns with the goals of Child Protection Week, focusing on advocacy, education, and empowerment to create a safer and more inclusive environment for children.
