07 December – Arts, Culture and Environment

Today we played a feature by Sakhisizwe Producer Rhodé Marshall about dumping in Woodstock. A vacant plot in Woodstock on the corners of Greatmore and York Street has become the concern of many residents in the area as everyday there seems to be dumping taking place. This has raised questions of the health hazard that is being caused by the dirt and rats that have made the plot their home. Rhodé went to the site to speak to residents and also to City Health. If you have any complains of illegal dumping on properties then contact the National Housing Board on 021 483 4444.
