In today's show, we spoke to Bronwen Dyke - Spokesperson
for Golden Arrow Bus Services to tell us more about the
learnerships they are offering female drivers. Golden Arrow Bus Services in
collaboration with the Transport Education and Training Authority is offering
Learnerships for Female Drivers towards the National Certificate in
Professional Driving (NQF level 3). Keen individuals who are currently
unemployed must have a minimum Matric or equivalent qualification, a valid B/C1
(code 8/10) driver’s licence, PrDP or ability to obtain a PrDP (legal requirements:
no criminal record and over 21 years of age), willingness to be trained in
operating a heavy vehicle and to pursue a career as a professional driver in
the Road Passenger Transport Industry. Applications can be forwarded to the
Employment Officer, PO
Box 1795 , Cape Town 8000 or fax to (021) 934 1583 alternately dropped off
at the Employment Office in Airport Industria. Closing date for the
