Stellenbosch Outdoor Sculpture Trust to host a KickstART Outreach Week

Andi Norton - A trustee of the Stellenbosch Outdoor Sculpture Trust joined us on the line. The Stellenbosch Outdoor Sculpture Trust will be hosting a KickstART Outreach Week from the 16^th to the 20^th of September where hundreds of school kids from Stellenbosch surrounding areas will learn about art from renowned SA artists such as land artist Strijdom van der Merwe and tour 15 well outdoor sculptures currently on display in the Stellenbosch town centre. KickstART’s Outreach Week aims to inspire and develop the youth of Stellenbosch through art and design. KickstART’s members are a collective of about 40 volunteers, including artists, arts activists, teachers, child psychologists, academics and Deloitte, sponsors of the week. The organisations from the Stellenbosch area who are involved include the Stellenbosch Arts Association, the Stellenbosch Outdoor Sculpture Trust, the local tourism office Stellenbosch360, the PJ Olivier art school, Community Keepers, the Spier Arts Academy, Sasol Arts Museum, the town council and the University of Stellenbosch.
