We closed off with Colleen Marco - Director of the Association for Voluntary Sterilization
of South Africa. September is Female Sterilization month, so Colleen explained more about Sterilization. Sterilization is considered as a permanent
method of contraception and therefore one has to be a 100% sure of your
decision when considering it. It is done free of charge at many state hospitals
or you can ask the local health centre for referral to the nearest service
point. For further information you can contact AVSSA on (021) 531 1665 or visit
