On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Jackie Burman – From the Fundraising
Academy. The Fundraising Academy aims to train those interested in a career in
fundraising over a six-month period. After the first two months, the students
are placed in internships, whilst still attending classes and receiving
mentorship and support from the tutors and staff at the Fundraising Academy. They are currently looking for 18 to
30-year-olds to join their next course starting on the 5th of August
2013. The full course fee is R5,000 and the internship provides R3,000 (total
cost to you = R2,000). For further information you can send an email to thefundraisingacademy@gmail.com
