Arts, Culture & Environment - Crossings International Artistic Workshop is looking for participants

In today's show, we spoke to Eléonore Godfroy-Briggs - Communication Officer at the French Institute of South Africa. We were talking about the Crossings International Artistic Workshop. Young professional choreographers, dancers, composers and lighting designers are invited to answer to the call for applications to participate in the third edition of the Crossings International Artistic Workshop that will take place here in Cape Town in November. Conceived by French choreographer Michel Kelemenis, the two first editions of Crossings took place in 2010 and 2011 in Johannesburg at the Dance Factory, the Dance Forum, Moving into Dance Mophatong and Vuyani Dance Theatre. Three years after the initial edition of Crossings, international connections between previous participants are still flourishing. This year’s facilitators are: choreographers Germaine Acogny (Senegal) and Vincent Mantsoe (South Africa), lighting designer Floriaan Ganzevoort (Holland) and composer James Webb (South Africa). Applications for Crossings #3 should be submitted electronically to angelique@ifas.org.za For more information go to www.ifas.org.za  and www.gipca.uct.ac.za/call-for-applications-crossings-international-artistic-workshop alternatively www.facebook.com/crossingsworkshop
