Tinus Boshoff – Director of Labourguide. Labourguide will be hosting an Occupational Injuries
and Diseases in the Workplace course which aims to provide step by step guides and examples
on the different processes, the procedures to follow when reporting
occupational injuries and diseases, the identification of problems and the
completion of forms such as the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and
Diseases Act, 130 of 1993. The course is intended for people who work with COIDA in the
Insurance Sector, HR administrators and managers, COIDA administrators, Health
and Safety Committee members and representatives, OHS managers, medical
practitioners and shop stewards. On completion of the course the participant
will be able to explain the statutory cover, describe injury, death and
occupational disease benefits and apply underwriting criteria to a policy
issued under COIDA.
The course will be taking place on Tuesday
July 2nd, 2013 at the Southern Sun in Century City , Cape Town and on Wednesday July 17th, 2013 at Southern Sun: Elangeni and
