We closed off with Colleen Marco - Director of the Association for Voluntary Sterilization
of South Africa. We were talking about male sterilization. June is Men’s
Sterilization Month. Sterilization is one of the many contraceptive options
available to individuals that helps empower them to choose the number of
children they wish to have. It is said to be the ideal choice for both men and
women who have decided that their family is complete and they are certain that
they do not want any more children. Sterilization is
done free of charge at many state hospitals or you can ask the local health
care centre for referral to the nearest service point. For more information contact your nearest clinic or the
Association for Voluntary Sterilisation of South Africa on (021) 531
1665 or send an SMS to 076 100 7226 alternatively an email to avssa@polka.co.za
