iCARE Children’s Foundation raise funds for children who require cochlear implants

Jawaad Shabodien - Founder of iCARE Children’s Foundation was also Instudio to talk about how they try to make a difference in young people’s lives. Founded in April 2002, iCARE Children’s Foundation works across Cape Town endeavoring to empower vulnerable young people through acquiring skills which could develop a sense of self-worth, an ability to help themselves to rise above their difficult circumstances or conditions. Since the foundation’s inception it has tackled various projects including feeding schemes but has recently decided to focus more on special projects such as raising funds for children who require cochlear implants. On the 29th of June they will be hosting a high tea fundraising for cochlear implant at Penlyn Madrassa Hall. A table for ten costs R500. They are appealing to good Samaritans for help with donations in either cash or kind. For further information you can contact ICARE Children’s Foundation on (021) 699 0302/3 or send an email to projects@icarefoundation.org.za
