On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Ruth Ehrhardt – A
doula and a midwife trainee. We were talking about the upcoming Midwifery and
Birth Conference that will take place in Cape Town
on the 8th and 9th of February, 2013. In light of
Pregnancy Education Week Birthways, Birthing Earthlings, Home Birth South
Africa, Spiritual Birth and WOMBS combined their resources to bring to Cape Town its first ever Midwifery and Birth
Conference. The aim with the conference is to provide a platform on which both
birth professionals, mothers and fathers can all come together to discuss and
debate relevant topics. To register or for more information visit www.midwiferyandbirthconference.co.za
