We closed off with an interview with Pat Gelderblom - Volunteer Service Manager at St Lukes Hospice. Next week from May 6th till 13th is Hospice week and the need for hospice care for the terminally ill in South Africa is huge, and ever-increasing mostly due to HIV and cancer. Hospice is a movement represented across the globe that believes that every person with a life threatening condition has the right to quality of life and dignity in death. Pat explained more about the service that they render to terminally ill patients. For further information you can contact St Lukes Hospice on (021) 797 5335 or visit their website http://www.stlukes.co.za/
