29 September - Labour - Guarantee Trust to arm graduates
On Sakhisizwe today, we heard from Chicco Maluwa - Selection Officer at Guarantee Trust. We were talking about the Bonani Work-Readiness Program. The program is for previously disadvantaged accounting graduates or those close to graduating and aims to deliver work-ready graduates into accounting practices. They also run another program called Virtual Banking Work-Readiness Program which aims to deliver work-ready graduates into the banking sector in Cape Town. Requirements for the Accounting program, is a 3 year B com degree or a Diploma and major subjects can be: Accounting, Financial Management, Internal Auditing, Financial Information Systems, Taxation, and Financial Accounting. For the Banking program they require students with either a 3 year BCom degree or Diploma and major subjects can be: Banking, Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Business Economics and they must be interested in having a career in banking.
