In today’s show, we spoke to Clive Human – Spokesperson for Standing Together to Oppose Pornography or STOP. Their mission is to promote a society in which children are nurtured in an environment of sound family values and in which women and children in particular are protected from sexual crime, sexual exploitation, abuse and violence in accordance with their constitutional rights. Clive explained more on how the organisation was formed and how they are opposing the widespread pornography in our society. We also heard from Sharon Cox and Marlow Valentine from the Triangle Project. Their mission is to contribute towards eradicating discrimination against and within the LGBT community. We were speaking about bisexuality. The topic of bisexuality is not as well understood as gay or lesbianism. So we discussed the factors surrounding bisexuality to give our listeners a better understanding. We closed off the show with an interview with Dr Trudy Smith - Principle Specialist in Gynaecology at Johannesburg Hospital. We were talking about Women’s Health – focusing on Atrophic Vaginitis. Women of menopausal age frequently experience symptoms of this condition. Vaginitis involves Inflammation of the Vagina. It is usually caused by a disruption in the normal chemical balance of the Vagina or from infection by Detrimental Microorganisms. Dr Smith explained to what extent can atrophic vaginitis affect a woman’s quality of life - and in particular what effect does AV potentially have on their sexual relationships and What can women do when atrophic vaginitis strikes.
