Human Rights - The Adonis Musati Project vows to alleviate the plight of asylum seekers and refugees

Gahlia Brogneri - Co-director and founder of the Adonis Musati Project was Instudio to tell us more about how the organisation alleviates the plight of asylum seekers and refugees. This organisation is named after a young Zimbabwean man who died of starvation on the streets of Cape Town while queuing to get his asylum papers. It was formed at the end of 2007 in order to ensure that no refugee died of starvation ever again in Cape Town. Since its inception that began as a feeding scheme the organisation has evolved over the years according to the needs of asylum seekers and refugees in Cape Town such as assisting with accomodation and food, documentation, training, employment and education for their children. If anyone wants to contribute to this organisation you can contact the Adonis Musati Project on (021) 447 3656 or visit www.adonismusatiproject.org
