On the show today, we spoke to Jasper Walgrave –
Head at Pro Helvetia. We were talking about their call
for ANT funding applications for the period 2012-2013. This Ant Funding is made
available through a renewed agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development
& Cooperation (SDC ) which, for the past 13 years, has supported the arts in the Southern
African region. The funding is available for projects in dance, theatre, music
and visual arts that provide increased public exposure of high quality
contemporary work across national borders (e.g. presentation of a South African
work in Zimbabwe). Priority countries are South Africa, Zimbabwe and
Mozambique, but motivations for opportunities in other SADC countries will be
considered. The deadline for receipt of applications is 4th of February 2013. Decisions concerning the
allocation of funding for this call will be released by the 15th of February 2013. The
remaining funding calls for 2012/13 will be made according to the following
dates: 4th Call. The call for funding will be made on 25th
of March 2013. Deadline for receipt of applications is 2nd of
May 2013. Decisions concerning the allocations of funding will be released
by the 17th of May 2013. For more information visit www.prohelvetia.org.za
